QID 730716: WordPress Plugin Events Manager Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability

Events Manager is a full-featured event registration plugin for WordPress based on the principles of flexibility, reliability and powerful features.

The events-manager plugin through 5.9.5 for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored XSS due to improper encoding and insertion of data provided to the attribute map_style of shortcodes (locations_map and events_map) provided by the plugin.

Affected Versions:
Events Manager Plugin versions before and including 5.9.5

QID Detection Logic(Unauthenticated): This unauthenticated detection depends on the BlindElephant engine to detect the vulnerable version of the Events Manager plugin.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an authenticated attacker with the ability to create posts can execute JavaScript code in a victim's browser.
