QID 730781: WordPress Plugin Stop Spammers Security Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) Object injection Vulnerability

The Stop Spammers Security | Block Spam Users, Comments, Forms WordPress plugin before 2022.6 passes base64 encoded user input to the unserialize() PHP function when CAPTCHA are used as second challenge, which could lead to PHP Object injection if a plugin installed on the blog has a suitable gadget chain.

QID Detection Logic(Unauthenticated): This QID checks for vulnerable WordPress Plugin Stop Spammers Security version by sending GET request to endpoint "/wp-content/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/readme.txt".

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to perform different kinds of malicious attacks, such as Code Injection, SQL Injection, Path Traversal and Application Denial of Service using PHP Object injection vulnerability.
