QID 730842: Adobe ColdFusion Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE) Vulnerability (APSB23-47) (Unauthenticated Check)

Adobe ColdFusion is an application for developing Web sites.

Adobe ColdFusion versions 2018, 2021 and 2023 are affected by the deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability, resulting in arbitrary code execution.

Affected Products:
ColdFusion (2021 release) Update 8 and earlier versions.
ColdFusion (2018 release) Update 18 and earlier versions
ColdFusion (2023 release) Update 2 and earlier versions.

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID checks for vulnerable Adobe ColdFusion target by sending a crafted payload to the webserver. A vulnerable server will try to connect back to the scanner on a random port.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
