QID 730859: Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (EPMM) Remote Arbitrary File Write Vulnerability

A vulnerability has been discovered in Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (EPMM) formerly known as MobileIron Core. This vulnerability impacts all supported versions releases 11.10, 11.9 and 11.8. Older versions or releases are also at risk.

Affected Product Versions:
All supported versions prior to the vendor patch:11.8.1.2, 11.9.1.2 and 11.10.0.3

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID will send a GET request to the end-point "mifs/user/login.jsp" to confirm if it is a Ivanti's EPMM or MobileIron and then it sends one more GET request to the end-point "mifs/c/windows/api/v2/device/registration" to read the version information. If the version is vulnerable, this QID gets posted.

Successful exploitation can be used to write malicious files to the appliance, ultimately allowing a malicious actor to execute OS commands on the appliance as the tomcat user.
