QID 731058: PaperCut NG/MF XMLRPC Improper Access Control Vulnerability

PaperCut NG/MF is a comprehensive print management system designed to seamlessly monitor and control your resources with easy to use administrative and user tools that can be securely accessed from anywhere on the network though a web browser.

Affected versions of PaperCut NG/MF allows unauthenticated XMLRPC commands to be run by default.

Affected Products:
PaperCut NG/MF version prior to 22.0.12

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID sends an HTTP POST request to 'rpc/clients/xmlrpc' endpoint with a specially crafted xml payload and evaluates a target as vulnerable or not vulnerable based on the response received.

Unauthenticated access to XMLRPC functionality could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to issue XMLRPC calls within PaperCut NG/MF. This could lead to potential security implications depending on the specific calls executed.
