QID 731079: WordPress Plugin BDVS Password Reset with Code for WordPress REST API Account Takeover Vulnerability

WordPress BDVS Password Reset plugin, adds a password reset facility to the WordPress REST API using a code.

CVE-2023-35039: The Password Reset with Code for WordPress REST API is vulnerable to a Weak Password Recovery Mechanism in versions prior 0.0.15. This allows unauthenticated attackers to set a 4-digit password recovery code for arbitrary users that, if guessed correctly, will allow them to reset the password for that user.

Affected Versions:
WordPress BDVS Password Reset Plugin versions prior to 0.0.16

QID Detection Logic:
This unauthenticated detection checks for installed vulnerable version for BDVS Password Reset Plugin using Blind Elephant Fingerprint technique.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to reset the password of targeted user.
