Liferay Portal is an open-source enterprise web platform for building business solutions and collaborative applications.

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Liferay Portal allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload injected into the name of a tag.

Affected Versions:
Liferay Portal 7.3.3 - 7.3.7
Liferay Portal 7.4.0 - 7.4.3.3
QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated): This QID checks for vulnerable version of Liferay Portal in response banner.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload injected into the name of a tag.

CVSS V3 rated as High - 6.1 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Critical - 9 severity.
