QID 87519: SAP NetWeaver AS JAVA Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability

SAP NetWeaver AS Java (Applications based on HTMLB for Java) allows a basic-level authorized attacker to store a malicious file on the server. When a victim tries to open this file, it results in a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability and the attacker can read and modify data.

Affected Versions
SAP NetWeaver AS JAVA, versions - 7.10, 7.11, 7.30, 7.31, 7.40, 7.50

Scan initiates HTTP request on Web Server and determines version based on the Server Header.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary javascript code on the target system.

CVSS V3 rated as Medium - 5.4 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 3.5 severity.
