Discussion

Fetchmail SSL Certificate Printing Remote Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Fetchmail is prone to a remote heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

An attacker may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the vulnerable application. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in a denial-of-service condition.

Fetchmail 6.3.11, 6.3.12, and 6.3.13 are affected.
